The site gives people access to a global network of buyers and sellers, as far-reaching and diverse as the Internet itself – from college students to executives, housewives to professionals to senior citizens, all offering a slice of their time and talent.

By providing all the tools required for sellers to engage, build and grow their business, Fiverr alleviates the stresses typically associated with starting a business, such as: startup capital, physical location, client acquisition and payment infrastructure.
Fiverr currently lists more than 750,000 services priced between $5 and $150.

Fiverr is an online marketplace where you can buy or sell digital services. It has been in business for quite some time and is equally popular among businesses as well as freelancers.
Fiverr gets an estimated daily traffic of 555,759+ and more than 15,000+ sites links back to Fiverr in the form of blogs, reviews and press.
From Buyer Perspective:
If you are an individual or a startup or a small agency, you can use Fiverr to get things done for a nominal amount of $5. You should join Fiverr as a “Buyer”.
This can be anything from logo design, website development, video branding etc. Fiverr has many categories and filters so all you have to do is surf, pick a service, check the reviews, see the delivery time (you have to do your due diligence) and place your order.
Fiverr also have different level of sellers ranging from Level 1 to 3 and Top Sellers. The prices per service will also vary based on levels.
Note - If you are a new business who cannot afford hiring a full time employee, this is your place.
From Seller Perspective:
If you are someone with basic digital skills or someone who wants employment working from the comfort of their home or even remotely then you join Fiverr as a “Seller”.
Fiverr offers multiple categories to offer your services for example diy, craft, marketing, coaching, voice over etc. These are just few examples but there are plenty. You have to setup a profile as a seller and create a “gig” (service) where you have to explain what you are offering and at what price point. Based on your level, Fiverr will provide you tools which will help you to create plans or sell a standalone service.
As a seller you have the opportunity to wow your clients with your work. A great gig and good customer service will get you rolling. Sellers who use this platform as a business make anything between $5 to $900+ per day and some have gone to the extent of making $3000+ per month. It all boils down to your focus and effort.
Fiverr also shares seller success stories to motivate you from time to time. As a seller you can withdraw your earnings through Paypal or Payoneer which is later transferred to your bank account. Fiverr also has a support forum for both buyers and sellers.
So, if you are new to the platform and get overwhelmed with all the information around then simply join the Fiverr forum and ask your questions. You are likely to receive a better answer from the community comprising of both buyers and sellers.
If you are not the creative kind and lack skills. You can still make money with Fiverr in two ways:
  1. By learning skill based courses which is offered on the Fiverr platform. When you complete a course, it gets automatically reflected on your Fiverr profile. Now, you can sell the service with an authority because you know the subject.
  2. Second, you can become a Fiverr affiliate and refer Fiverr gigs to other businesses. For this having a blog and a social profile on LinkedIn and Instagram will come handy.
I hope this answers your query.

“Fiverr” it’s an online marketplace for freelancers. If you are a newbie in Fiverr or optimistic enough to become a professional one, then you must know some specific guidelines and features that are very important for the competitive market like fiverr. I can assure you that fiverr is unique in its own style and differs from many other freelancing platforms. However, we cannot say fiver is all in one. Like other sectors, it has some pros and cons.
Fiverr, is not an impossible platform for anyone to get desired work from anywhere. Rather, if you have good skills in any field whether it can be technical or nontechnical then it is definitely a great platform to make some additional income. The innovative idea of fiverr is making a proper “gig”. It’s like a signboard of a departmental store. The first and foremost thing is to attract a buyer. The gig fights for that. Besides, Fiverr will send you a buyer that may even give you a paid job to get it done, or give you a job to check your skills where unfortunately you have to do it for free. Getting paid clients is a daunting and haunting task that can frustrate you but a good part of this is, if buyer gets satisfied then he can give any amount of tips to encourage you for your next job. The most prominent part is, it’s the buyer who will search you, send you offers where you can get your job description and the payment amount. If your skills match with the job, a charming proposal may help you to get the job. You do not need to rush anywhere except keeping in your shop open. It’s the buyer who will buy product from your shop repeatedly once he is satisfied with your quality product. One major inspiring thing in fiver is the payment system which starts from $5 whatever the work is. In case of other market place, there is a bargaining system where the rate can be below $5.
However, nothing is perfect in this universe. I have an epiphany about fiberr, you have to wait for long, only god knows how long. Sometimes sending hundreds of proposal, you may not get any work. You get 10 chances per day to send offers whereas someday you may not even get the chance of spending one offer, that’s the harsh reality. Moreover, in case of getting hired or offered, you need high experience which helps you get to stand in the first page of the platforms. The complicacy stands in front of you when, as a newbie, you don’t get chance to get hired, you are not getting any rating and review. Thus you become a newbie forever. At the same time, the cut 20% of the payment which is way high compared to other market place.
Therefore, everything has merits and demerits. Endurance, patience and strategic steps are the key rules that can make your life better not only in fiverr but also in any platform. On the other hand, fiverr would have been better if it puts an algorithm in the platform to mange work for every newbie and the deduction system should be reduced to 5-10%. At last, I must say, fiverr is a great platform for anyone to make an extra income.

Fiverr started in 2010, is an online marketplace where freelancers (sellers) from around the world offer all sorts of digital tasks and services to clients starting from $5 (1Gig)
Some of the ethical business services you can buy or sell include influenced marketing, social media or blog posting, business card templates, content creation, and help with websites or promotions.
Fiverr also offers some business services many consider unethical. You can buy website hits, fake Facebook page likes, fake Instagram or Twitter followers, Twitter posts, likes and retweets, fake reviews to boost your brand or hurt your competition, and some services that may violate the terms of service of other websites.
Alternatively, there are unique and silly services which people have thought up to make money. You can pay someone to write things on their stomach and model for a photo, pay someone to make you a puppet video or one with a hamster writing your name in lettuce, or hire someone to call and punk your friends. One man is selling services to pretend to be your boyfriend and make your ex jealous on Facebook.
As of November 2015, Fiverr allowed sellers to charge more than $5 for basic services, and has received over $110 million dollars in funding from investors.

Buying and selling, both has its cons and pros.
The Pros of Buying on Fiverr
  1. Buying on Fiverr is Easy
  2. The platform is easy to use,
  3. You can find out information about a seller.
  4. There are many gigs available in many different areas.
  5. You can save 60%–70% of your actual cost for any services by hiring an experienced freelancer on Fiverr. (Make sure to find the best freelancer and you should know whom to select for the job).
  6. You can expect timeline delivery.
  7. Companies can save millions if they find the right freelancer.
The Cons of Buying on Fiverr
  1. You Contribute to an Economic Meltdown -
Pricing starts from $5 and to gain customers and get reviews, freelancers sometimes offer their services worth $200-$300 for as low as $20-$30 and new freelancers around the world can sometimes get ready for a single gig worth just $5.
This has negatively impacted the earning of freelancers in offering digital services and writers and bloggers around the world. For instance, a beautiful word press website can easily earn $300-$500 for a freelancer; however now they won’t because Fiverr is flooded with freelancers offering these services for as low as $50-$100. So the companies can also hire him to cut down the expenses.
2. Unethical Services by Unethical Sellers
Even though there are many ethical sellers on Fiverr many people I know, as in the old saying a few bad apples spoil it for the bunch!
3. Fake Reviews & Social Media Fake Promotion.
Facebook, Twitter, YouTube & Amazon Issue - All these social media likes, views, subscriptions, for Facebook, Twitter and You tube were sold on Fiverr 4–5 years ago, and all these services were suspended after these companies involvement. According to Wikipedia, in 2014 Amazon sued Fiverr for fake reviews. Fiverr worked closely with Amazon to "remove these services" from their site.
4. Cheap SEO Services & Junk Links - Many freelancers offer backlink creation using automated techniques that I have personally ordered and found to be partly a scam. The software creates junk links that are often removed from sites in a week or two. When I look them up a few days later, they redirect to someone else's profile page. They also give sellers a bunch of redirect links, which are nothing but fake links which are not really there. However, the seller has tons of orders in queue and gets great ratings. Most of the reviews are positive because the average person doesn't understand that a redirect PHP link, placed after any site you choose to show someone, will work, but really just isn't real. Unless you are skilled in these things you would never know. Leaving bad feedback for a seller who has thousands of positives won't do anything.
5. My Personal Experience as a Buyer on Fiverr
I have purchased cheap gigs myself on Fiverr for link building & Social media promotion for websites and blogs. While some of this work has withstood the test of time, over 70 percent of the jobs I purchased just a few years ago, for $5-$15 average, are gone. The websites or blogs are nowhere to be found; when I share them, they make dead links in cyberspace. It's possible that the people or businesses who created the blog didn't want to continue web hosting any more and deleted the blog. You would think they would have just been abandoned and not deleted. This leads me to think some over spammy or unethical practice was happening involving users who could have been expected to delete or sell their blog. This was not good for my business as our links to those vanished blogs became dead links that penalized our website, and we had to take the time to remove them.
I suppose the old saying is clear: you get what you pay for. In a nutshell, the quality of service is not what I had expected, but for only $5 what should I have expected? There are good sellers on Fiverr® who have reputable blogs and websites and offer good sponsored content, but expect those services to start at more than $5. So you should not fall for sellers selling services for one Gig.
The Pros of Selling on Fiverr
Selling Is Super Easy & Fun
It is genuinely easy to sell items on Fiverr! Account creation is takes less than ten minutes. It’s easy to use. You need to update your profile, add bank account, verify for auto transfer and add Paypal account and create some good descriptive Gigs and get started. They charge 20% for every Gig that you sell. If you sell for $5, their commission is $1, that’w how they make profit. You can make your living if you are committed to provide excellent service.
Fiverr Seller Levels - You get rewarded of your work, by getting a level up, that’s the tier system of Fiverr of rewarding the seller for their outstanding work and benefit the sellers get, extra visibility and service upgrade package, which means, services which they used to offer for $5, now they can entirely customize their offer.
TIPS TO GET SUCCESS ON FIVERR - Make money by doing what you love to do, if you are serious about being a freelancer and make 1000s of $$$ every month, be disciplined and dedicated towards your work and excel in your services. As in online freelancer world, clients don’t know you, they only believe in what you deliver. Always remember, there is no shortcut of making money ONLINE/OFFLINE, you will have to put your 100%, if you want to be a successful freelancer -
1. Spend some quality time on Fiverr, don’t work as you are going to have fun. Treat your work as worship and client as God.
2. Create your Gigs professionally and offer best prices, initially you may have to compromise on your pricing (a bitter truth).
3. Look for buyer requests, send them your offers.
4. Always respond as early as possible, do not wait as clients wants to get your response rather than waiting for any time frame. The early, the better.
5. Understand your client needs.
6. Be professional in communicating with clients, if any new requirement comes up in your work.
7. Always deliver your work on time or before threshold
8. If you are going to be late, you can send the message to the client about the unforeseen situation that is holding you to deliver the project timely and assure him of the next timeline to finish the work, trust me you won’t find a single person who would criticize you for this behavior, rather they would appreciate. Especially in my experience US clients have been great and they are the easiest client on the planet to work with if you understand their needs or it can become vice-versa :-) not trying to scare you.
9. Also make sure you also liked what you are delivering.
10. Its time to deliver the project and ask for 5 star review and rating for your work. (Don’t forget to inform the client about the TIP?).
Start working on it and if you know what you are doing and believe in your talent and skills, then you can sell your services to thousands of customers and make a great living.

Fiverr is an autonomous platform. These sites offer you a great opportunity, depending on your experiences and skills if you are looking to work from home. Many concerts demand that you show your expertise while some advise that you check your skills to win customers ' interest.
If you want to hire an individual employee or if you want to get professional. You through with Fiberr, I suggest.
I never recommend someone to stop their job but start working part-time until they get enough to leave.
Thanks!
